As part of our course, we had to work as interns to the third years, the third year student I was paired up with was called Emma who was working on a collection called Biker Fairy-tale. I loved working with Emma, she is a lovely person and her collection is absolutely beautiful. This has easily been the most fun I've had all year.
Day
1 - Monday
Emma was out buying fabric, so I helped another third year with her knit, threaded an overlocker up twice, and did some image research for Emma.
Day 2 - Tuesday
Spent the day in the print room, printed the queen dress fabric in yellow ready for foil. Emma showed me how to expose a screen and I helped with that. Going to cut out foils later.
Day 3 - Wednesday
Had our final fitting, the trousers are now too tight, so they need to be readjusted, also, the t-shirt dresses were more t-shirt than dress, and need to be much longer.
Day 4 - Thursday
I made a stencil of the Queen print to help in cutting the foils, this took up most of the day but I managed to get one section of glued fabric covered and ready for pressing.
Day 5 - Friday
Covered two glued fabrics with foil, one being significantly harder to do since the glue was white on white fabric. This is now the back up piece since the black decided not to behave. Printed stripey silver fabric. All fabrics and samples are done now.

Easter Break
The week after Easter was fast paced as we got ready for the final hand in on Wednesday, in that time we lengthened the dresses, adjusted the trousers, installed invisible zips and shoulder pads and made sure everything worked.
I mostly worked on the biker jacket and technical parts of construction such as zips, welt pockets and working out errors. I very nearly stole the jacket since its so gorgeous.

| First practice in leather for the double welted zipper pocket for the biker jacket, in later versions I sewed the lining closer to the zipper so less of the zipper was exposed on the inside. |

| Experimenting with how to wear the biker jacket, I liked to have the collar up at the back and down at the front since this gave the collar more volume. |

| Having the jacket open made the back of the jacket butt up due to the weight distribution, so I thought about having it zipped up at the bottom only. |
